About IDNB

The Association of Interior Designers of New Brunswick (IDNB), established in 1985, is the self-regulating organization governed by the Interior Designers Act. IDNB is committed to promoting and furthering the knowledge, skill and proficiency of its members, and the profession. As well as, administering the Interior Designers Act, in order that the public’s health, safety, wellness and best interests may be served and protected. IDNB upholds excellence in the profession by establishing stringent education, experience and examination standards for its membership. As well as, enforced continuing education and a code of ethics by which interior designers maintain their right to practice in the province of New Brunswick.
 
On May 5th, 2017, Interior Design became a regulated profession when the amendments to the Interior Designers Act (the “Act”) passed by the New Brunswick Legislature came into effect. From that date, any corporation or person offering or advertising ‘Interior Design’ services and training or using the title ‘Interior Designer’ in New Brunswick is required to meet all the requirements of the Act and to be a registered member of the Association.
