As principal of LVT Design, Lyn is an Interior Designer who has elevated the design of over 2 million SQFT of innovative corporate, industrial and hospitality space. As the only Interior Designer in Saint John until 2018 she was presented many opportunities to work on exciting projects with wonderful clients through out the Maritimes and beyond.
Lyn has been in the design industry since 1984 in Toronto where she gained her degree from Ryerson. With in 3 years of graduation she became the senior designer in her Ontario firm and since then has managed and lead national and international projects
For several years Lyn has sat on the executive board for Interior Designers of New Brunswick (IDNB) and is currently Vice President. She has also spent 3 years on the national advocacy board for Interior Designers of Canada (IDC) She has volunteered countless hours for the profession of Interior Design included sitting on the Practice and Protection act Committee which was instrumental in obtaining the IDNB “Practice and Protection “Act.
René Claude Roy is a professional interior designer with over 34 years of experience in commercial, institutional, and residential interior design.
Early in his career, he worked as an interior designer in the Ottawa area, eventually settling in New Brunswick.
He was the founder and head of Interior Design Plus Consultants in the Moncton area for over 20 years, co-owner of the Era Urbano Furniture and Accessories Boutique as well as co-founder of the architectural firm Design Plus Architecture.
He as been a professor in the Interior Design program at the Community College of NB, Dieppe campus since 2009. He was part of the team, which led the program to the CIDA (Council for Interior Design Accreditation) certification in 2018.
He has been an active member of the Interior Designers Association of NB since 1992. He has held several executive positions and served on several committees. He is still very much involved in the advancement of the Interior Design profession in NB and at the Canadian level.
President of Interior Designers of New Brunswick from 2010 to 2019, Rachel Mitton has been a part of the evolving Interior Design profession in New Brunswick for 23 years. She has also participated on numerous committees with colleagues throughout Canada. Currently, she is the Department Head of the Trades and Interior Design program department at the CCNB-Dieppe Campus, after having taught in the Interior Design Program for a number of years. She was actively involved in the accreditation process of the CIDA program. She also played a key role in IDNB obtaining the Practice Act on May 5th 2017, the most significant change in the Associations history.
Throughout her career, she has dedicated her time between volunteering in the provincial association, managing her department, teaching full time in the Applied Bachelor of Interior Design and practicing design. Always committed to the betterment of the profession, her dedication to her students and her clients have made her a well-loved and respected member of the industry.
Jennifer Greene was drawn to the interior design profession because of her awareness of the power of space. As an innately keen observer, sensitive and empathetic in nature, she defines success by the degree to which her practice creates experiences that enhances peoples’ lives.
During her 15 year career, now a Partner at TOSS in Saint John, she has had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients across multiple commercial sectors spanning Atlantic Canada, and is proud to call New Brunswick home.
Jennifer has been a member of IDNB for over a decade and has served on multiple committees. A believer in the interior design profession, she joined a newly-formed IDC Advocacy Committee in 2018 and has been on IDC’s Board of Directors since 2019. She is proud to be representing interior designers and the importance of our profession both here in New Brunswick and across Canada.
